Flight is a state of mind,” recalled Ekaterina Yordanova, President of the Union of Transport Trade Unions in Bulgaria in her greetings to the Bulgarian Aviation Association on the occasion of its quarter-century anniversary.

The event brought together veterans, representatives and supporters of the military and civil aviation in Bulgaria.

Bulgarian Aviation Association (BAA) is a non-political, democratic, public non-profit organization uniting participants and supporters of the aviation in Bulgaria. There, veterans of the Air Force – the living link with the glorious ancient history of our aviation – find their natural place in the patriotic education of the Bulgarian military youth in shaping the love for the motherland and willingness to enhance its defense capability. Bulgarian Aviation Association is a full member of the European Partnership of Air Force Associations / APAA / and works on strengthening, development and raising the prestige of the Bulgarian national aviation at home and abroad.

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary BAA awarded an honorary diploma to selected persons for their contribution to the Bulgarian aviation. One of them is Ekaterina Yordanova.

“I’m very excited – said Yordanova. – One is not working for award, but when it comes, such an expression of recognition for efforts moves to tears. I thank the Bulgarian Aviation Association for that!”
