On April 7, 2015 a team of the Federation of Transport Trade Unions in Bulgaria (FTTUB) visited the headquarters of Plovdiv Airport to formally present to the management of the company the newly created “Trade union of the security personnel” (TUSP).
The meeting, which lasted nearly two hours, was attended by Ekaterina Yordanova, President of FTTUB, Vladimir Shtarbanov, CEO of Plovdiv Airport, the leadership of the newly established trade union organization, headed by its chairman Nikolai Bozev and expert team of FTTUB.
Ekaterina Yordanova presented FTTUB as the family to which the new affiliate will belong. She expressed the union’s willingness to establish a relationship of mutual respect and understanding, a spirit of constructive and fruitful cooperation.
On his turn, the CEO of Plovdiv Airport familiarized the participants in the meeting with the current status and business plans of the enterprise. He assured that the management of the company is open to dialogue and perceives the existence of the union as a chance to establish a correct and fruitful partnership between workers and employers, which would be of mutual interest.
At the end of the meeting both parties once again declared their intention and good will for constructive and fruitful cooperation.
After that Ekaterina Yordanova and FTTUB team took part in the general meeting of the members of the young organization, which discussed organizational issues and the way ahead of the new structure.
The TUSP of Plovdiv Airport was established in the very beginning of January 2015. The co-founders designated for a president of the structure Nikolay Bozev and for its secretary Atanas Dimov.
