Members of Federation of Transport Trade Union in Bulgaria Young Committee participated in the International Youth Festival of Labor organized by the CFDT in Paris, France. The festival was held on the occasion of May 1 – International Labor Day and brought together under one roof over 5,000 youth participants and representatives of different trade unions and employers from across Europe.
The aim of the event was to focus on problems affecting young people – unemployment, the widespread practice youths to be employed on temporary contracts, the integration of young people as a working force, opportunities for personal and career development. Issues such as solidarity and commitment of young people to the trade union movement and also opportunities for greater participation in trade union were affected.
FTTUB youth participated in the workshop dedicated to the area of social Europe. The main topic of the meeting was the role of trade union organizations at European level and the controls which they have in protecting young workers. During the meeting, he was made a parallel between the level of unemployment, development opportunities and a good start to the career level for young people in Bulgaria, Slovenia, Poland and other close as culture and traditions countries.
International Festival of labor allow young people to talk about their problems in the way of its development and the transition to permanent employment. At various conferences, meetings, debates and dialogues discussed the various levels of employment of young people in different countries of Europe. During the festival was organized exhibition where a large number of employers and trade unions had the opportunity to introduce themselves and talk about the possibilities offered for the realization and operation of youth.
